Alma Marie “Almarie” Reynolds, 85, of Doniphan, died May 21, 2023. Mrs. Reynolds was a retired Methodist minister who taught her children to learn Bible verses, sing and worship God. She enjoyed music and singing with her various choirs and playing the violin and mandolin. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, quilting, gardening and preserving fruit. She was born Feb. 11, 1938, in Chandler, Ariz., the daughter of the late John W. and H. Alma (Leonard) Daniels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry H. Reynolds, whom she married June 15, 1956, in De Soto.

She is survived by three children: Linda Reynolds of Doniphan, Mark (Karen) Reynolds of Brighton, Tenn., and Keith (Tracy Reynolds) of Pendleton, Ind.; two daughters-in-law: Robyn Reynolds of St. Charles and Kathy Paxton of Hannibal; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by two sons: Michael E. Reynolds of the U.S. Navy and Larry L. Reynolds, retired from the U.S. Navy; four sisters: Margie Yeley, Ramona Laughlin, Mary Alice Toothaker; and Colleen Daniels; and two brothers: Melvin Daniels and James Daniels.

A memorial service will be held for both Almarie and Jerry. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home, Doniphan.
