Carl E. Flottmann, 83, of De Soto died Oct. 21, 2023, at his home. Mr. Flottman worked as an apartment manager. He was a member and deacon of De Soto Christian Church. He enjoyed reading and doing puzzle books. Born Oct. 7, 1940, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Ervin John and Flora Loretta (Hogan) Flottmann. He was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis Flottman.
He is survived by a brother: William K. Flottmann of Illinois.
He also was preceded in death by three brothers: Irvin, Robert and Jesse Flottmann.
Services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Ron Follmer. Entombment will take place at a later date in the Peaceful Ridge Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the De Soto Christian Church Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
