Thomas L. ‘Tom’ Roth

Thomas L. “Tom” Roth, 84, of Festus died at his home on July 1, 2025. Mr. Roth worked most of his life in sales, mainly in real estate, and had his own company at one time. He also worked for other area companies, and after leaving real estate, he worked in other types of sales. He was passionate about everything cowboy, horses, guns and guitars. He was a talented rhythm guitar player and knew the words to hundreds of country and western swing songs. He had the house band at the De Soto Opry and played music at several nursing homes and other venues over the years. He and his wife enjoyed spending time together playing music and singing, dancing and trail riding. After retirement, they traveled in their RV full time for 16 years. Born March 8, 1941, in Ozora, he was the only child of the late Francis and Emma (Spraul) Roth.

He is survived by his wife: Connie (Langley) Roth. The two were married in October 1986 on their horses at the Cross Country Trail Ride in Eminence.

He also is survived by a daughter: Lynnette Randoll of Bloomsdale; a son: Randy Roth (Jessica Fears) of Festus; and a granddaughter: Taylor Randoll of Crested Butte, Colo.

No services will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
