Lloyd E. Sawyer, 89, Fenton

Lloyd E. Sawyer, 89, of Fenton died Oct. 14, 2025, in St. Louis. Mr. Sawyer enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, being outdoors, fixing things around the farm and the house and spending time with his family. Born Sept. 8, 1936, in Burfordville, he was the son of the late Meta (Peters) and Steven Sawyer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Moonyean (Szofran) Sawyer.

He is survived by four children: Diane (Steve) Raglin, Denise Sansocie, Dottye Conrad and Donna (Ronnie) Butler; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four siblings: Robert Sawyer, Truman Sawyer, Irene Grindstaff and Lorene Talley.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, at St. Martin UCC Cemetery, 3229 High Ridge Boulevard, in High Ridge. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
