James Charles ‘Jim’ Moss, 73, of Herculaneum

James Charles “Jim” Moss, 73, of Herculaneum died March 29, 2025, at his home. Mr. Moss was a retired programming analyst, member of Our Lady Church and the Knights of Columbus. He loved watching sports and spending time with his family. Born May 29, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Norma Jean (Rennells) and Earl Charles Moss.

He is survived by his wife: Kathy (Middleton) Moss; daughters: Amber Michelle Clarke of Festus and Ashley Marie Moran of High Ridge; sister: Mary (Farrell) Moreland of Festus; brothers: Rick (Beth) Moss of Festus; Steve (Lynn) Moss of Festus and Mike Moss of Festus; grandson: Oliver Liam Moran; mother-in-law: Oneida (Hochstatter) Middleton of Desloge; sister-in-law: Donna Douglas of Nixa; and numerous friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his son: Andrew James “Drew” Moss; and father-in-law William Raymond Middleton.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. April 3, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 N. Main St., Festus. Funeral mass will follow at noon at Our Lady Church in Festus, officiated by Pastor Michael Boehm. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City.
