Norval Michael “Bud” Vogel, 85, of Arnold died Jan. 24, 2015, in St. Louis County. Mr. Vogel was a retired driver for Bussen Quarries and was a volunteer firefighter with the Rock Community Fire Protection District. Born July 11, 1929, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Michael and Ethel (Becker) Vogel. He was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley (LeGrand) Vogel.
He is survived by three daughters: Debbie (Andy) Buesking of Marquand, Earlene (Alan) Gentles of Festus and Tracey (Johnny) Riehn of Arnold; seven grandchildren: Vivi Buesking, Andrew Buesking Jr., Michael Buesking, Amanda (Dan) Moroney, Matt (Amanda Bell) Gentles, Heather Riehn and Jonathan Riehn; and a sister: Myrtle Whitehead of Arnold.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold.
A funeral service is planned at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold. Burial is in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
