Norman H. “Stick” Haverstick, 85, of De Soto died May 24, 2017, at his home. Mr. Haverstick was a carpenter. He was a member of Carpenters Local 2214 and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Born Sept. 27, 1931, in Ste. Genevieve, he was the son of the late Alfred and Estelle Leona (Christopher) Haverstick.
He is survived by his wife: Venita Jane (Evans) Haverstick of De Soto; a brother: John (Laura) Haverstick of De Soto; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 29, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at the funeral home, Chaplain Cody Alley officiating. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
