Norman Douglas Charleville Jr., 69, formerly of Jefferson County died July 19, 2022, at HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, Fla. Mr. Charleville retired after serving for 35 years in the U.S. Army. Born Nov. 24, 1952, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Barbara (Akers) and Norman Douglas Charleville Sr.

He is survived by his wife: Maribel (Pinzon) Charleville, formerly of Panama City, Panama; a son: Norman Douglas (Lisa) Charleville III of Tamarac, Fla.; a daughter: Kimberly Turner of Festus; two sisters: Cheri Charleville of Festus and Beth (Rich) Gantner of De Soto; a brother: Jeffrey Charleville of Festus; and seven grandchildren: Logan, Adam and Aubrey Drysdale, Samantha Charleville and Vincent, Emily and Cameron Adams.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., Festus, followed immediately by funeral services. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes.
