Norma Theresa Bequette, 88, Festus

Norma Theresa Bequette, 88, of Festus died June 7, 2021, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center in Crystal City. Ms. Bequette worked at the Walmart store in the Twin City area as a greeter and in the fabric department. She was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines. Born Nov. 15, 1932, in Blackwell, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Mary Louis (Boyer) Bourisaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Sylvester “Tip” Bequette.

She is survived by two sisters: Verna (Sylvester “Pill”) Pratt of Crystal City and Rita (the late Earl) Johnston of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Marge Bourisaw of Festus; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four siblings: Thomas Bourisaw, Judy (Ray) Carter, Mary Ann (Charles) Rice and Joseph (Mildred) Bourisaw.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday (June 11) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at St. Joachim Catholic Church, 10120 Crest Road, in Old Mines, officiated by Father Datillo. Burial will take place in St. Joachim Cemetery in Old Mines. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
