Norma Ruth Haney, 75, of Crystal City died March 17, 2016, at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehab Center in Ste. Genevieve. Mrs. Haney was a floral designer at Festus Flower Shoppe and a member of Good News Community Church in Festus. Born Feb. 14, 1941, in Perryville, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Alberta (St. Gemme) and Edward Jesse Cook.
She is survived by her husband: Richard Haney; two daughters: Cynthia (Brian) Rhodes of De Soto and Jennifer (fiance Al Gotay) Haney of Ballwin; three sisters: Joan (Leroy) Gurnow of Festus, Carol Oberle of St. Louis County and Janet (the late Donald) Fallert of Festus; and one grandson: Hayden Rhodes of De Soto.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Leona (the late Robert) Terry.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 21, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 West Main, in Festus. Visitation is at 9 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Good News Community Church in Festus, the Rev. Jack King officiating. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
