Norma Jean Ellis, 64, of Wappappello died Oct. 4, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Ellis was born July 4, 1950, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Marie (Martin) and Wallace Clemens.
She is survived by her husband: Terry Ellis; a daughter: Dawn Sanford of Pevely; a son: Buddy Moon of De Soto; a sister: Tammy E. (Jack) Dobbs of Festus; a brother: Ronald L. (Joyce) Clemens of Festus; her mother-in-law: Roberta (the late Joseph) Ellis of Wappappello; three grandchildren: James Helton, Nicholas Smetzer and Brock Atchley; and seven great-grandchildren: Kiley Smetzer, Ashlyn Smetzer, Jaycee Smetzer, Payten Helton, Taylor Helton, Christian Atchley and Jeelie Atchley.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Carol Blackwell. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
