Nancy Trucks Powell, 73, of Herculaneum died Sept. 17, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Powell a 1965 graduate of Herculaneum High School and worked in human resources for the Nevada Clark County School District, Boyd Gaming in Las Vegas and Famous-Barr department store in Springfield. She was born Jan. 6, 1948, in Bonne Terre, the daughter of the late Betty Jo (Everetts) and Forrest “Dixie” Robinson and the niece of the late Miss Ora Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Powell.
She is survived by a daughter Christy (Steve) Eckhard of St. Peters; two granddaughters: Amanda and Emma Eckhard; a son: Ron (Rodney Russ) Trucks of Hillsboro; a sister: Linda (Elvin) Stephenson of Lakeland, Fla; her friend and former husband Marshall Trucks of Springfield; and her faithful pet, Joey.
Private family services were held. Burial was in St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Missouri Humane Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
