Nancy Lee (Bolton) Korte, 83, of Hillsboro died Aug. 30, 2022. After raising her children, Mrs. Korte worked for Dollar General in Otto for more than 35 years, where she enjoyed interacting with customers and was often referred to as the “Queen of Otto.” She also loved listening to country western music and going to the James Dean Run Car Show, stock car races and the casino. Born Dec. 12, 1938, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Loretta (Betz) and William Bolton. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Korte.
She is survived by two children: Lorie (Gary) Hoven and Robert Korte, both of Hillsboro; four grandchildren: Ashley Holtzmann, Kari Hoven, Gary (Abi) Hoven and Robert (Daniell) Korte Jr., all of Hillsboro; and six great-grandchildren: Harrison, Aubriana, Finn, Olive, Vivian and Freya, all of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by a son: James Korte Jr.
Arrangements were under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
