Nancy Eleanor Greenwalt-Schwab, 80, Farmington
Nancy Eleanor Greenwalt-Schwab, 80, of Farmington died June 1, 2022, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing in Farmington. Mrs. Greenwalt-Schwab was a legal secretary for Paster, West and Kraner in St. Louis. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City from 1965-1975 and a member of Church of the Assumption in Herculaneum from 1999 to 2016 where she was a Eucharistic minister, lecturer, member of the council, PSR teacher, choir administrator and president of the Legion of Mary. Born Aug. 31, 1941, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Florence Emma (McCready) and James Henry Catlow.
She was preceded in death by her spouses: Albert E. Schwab Jr. and Leland Wayne Greenwalt.
She is survived by four daughters: Deborah Kay (Jim Needy) Schwab of Wentzville, Linda Christine (John) Washburn of Farmington, Cynthia Marie (Eric) Rankin of Chuluota, Fla., and Brenda (Kevin) Wooten of Farmington; two sisters: Janice (the late Don) Adams of Bland and Kay (the late Joseph) Voss of Arnold; 14 grandchildren: Tiffini (Alan) Beckman, Jennifer (Ben) Mordecai, Ashley (Richard LaChance) Swyers, Timothy (Shelby) Swyers, Christine (Johnny) Jochum, Sarah (Wayne) Cole, Jacob (Brittany) Washburn, Johnathan Washburn, Jeremiah Washburn, Amelia (Brad) Trout, Anna Rankin, Joseph (Jennifer) Wooten, Cathleen (Auston) White and Sean (Ashley) Gray; 25 great-grandchildren: Kayli Beckman, Destini Beckman, Chloe Beckman, Alli Beckman, Lily Mordecai, Mayci Mordecai, Dru Mordecai, Daniel Taylor, Alivia Taylor, Hayden LaChance, Maveryk Swyers, Maximus Swyers, Marshall Swyers, Jordan Jochum, Seth Gray, Sapphire Gray, Violet Gray, Kaylee Washburn, Lane Washburn, Lila Washburn, Castiel Washburn, Matthew Trout, Claire Trout, Paige Lewis and Tanner Wooten; and many extended family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a brother: Lawrence Catlow; and a granddaughter: Jessica Renee Kimble.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Friday, June 3, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, officiated by Father Mathew Cheruparambil. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
