Monique M. (Bontemps) Tomchik, 90, of Hillsboro died Dec. 12, 2020, at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis, County. Mrs. Tomchik attended First Baptist Church of House Springs. She loved family gathering, going shopping and cheating at playing cards. She was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Liege, Belgium, the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Bontemps. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Tomchik.
She is survived by three daughters: Michelle (Steve) Mitchell of Barnhart, Maureen Boyd of St John’s and Marie (Eddie) Mitchell of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Florence Bontemps and Jean Bontemps; and a sister: Jeanette Cancilla.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at First Baptist Church of House Springs, 4375 Gravois Road, in House Springs. Memorials may be made to the de Greef Hospice House, 10024 Kennerly Road, St. Louis, 63128. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
