Michael Roy Downs, 73, of Pevely died March 5, 2022, at his home. Mr. Downs worked at Chrysler Corp. and enjoyed spending time with his dog, Jasper. Born Aug. 21, 1948, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Howard William and Ruth Elizabeth (Gillam) Downs.
He is survived by a son: Michael (Melanie) Downs Jr. of De Soto; a daughter: Michelle Downs of De Soto; two sisters: Margie Downs and Marie Downs, both of De Soto; and three grandchildren: Alanna, Andrew, and Patrick. He was preceded in death by a brother: Melvin Downs; and a sister: Marilynn Downs.
A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
