Michael P. Moritz, 59, of De Soto died June 26, 2018, in De Soto. Mr. Moritz was a machinist and a car, motorcycle and rat rod enthusiast. Born June 28, 1958, in Pekin, Ill., he was the son of the late Arlynn D. and Patricia J. (Blass) Moritz.
He is survived by his special friend and companion: Shelly Lee of De Soto; eight nieces and nephews: Jeffrey (Crystal) Harley, David Harley, Amanda Harley, Kyle Moritz, Daina (Tom) Markowski, Brian Harley, Steven (Kali) Moritz and Ashley Moritz; two brothers: William (Debbie) Moritz of Arnold and Robert (Mary) Moritz of Hillsboro; a sister: Susan (Gerry) Harley of Warrensburg; and many friends.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
