Michael Nicholas Hummel, 55, of Hillsboro died May 6, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Hummel loved tinkering on cars and spending weekends at the Bonne Terre Drag Strip. Born Dec. 6, 1966, in St. Louis, he was the son of Carol (Pues) and Jacob Hummel of Glenwood Springs, Colo.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife: Mary (Lindell) Hummel; two daughters: Jessica Hummel of House Springs and Julia Hummel of Hillsboro; three sons: Jonathan and Jeremy Hummel, both of Festus, and Brandon Woodyard of Arnold; three sisters: Nancy Hummel of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Charlean (Jason) Stockton and Torri Talley-Eisterhold; a brother: Carl Neaveill; and three grandchildren: Lily “Chrys” Hummel, Hunter Hummel and Ethan Woodyard.
Memorial visitation will be held from noon until 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
