Michael L. Chapman, 67, of Barnhart died Dec. 17, 2020. Mr. Chapman was a truck driver and a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, the National Association for Amateur Radio and the owner-operator of the Independent Drivers Association. He volunteered with the Red Cross. Born Oct. 11, 1953, in Dallas, he was the son of B.G. Chapman of Farmers Branch, Texas, and the late Ann Marie “Polly” Weinberg.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 41 years: Deborah Edwards Chapman; three children: Phillip (Cindy) Chapman of Roanoke, Texas, Eugene Clark of Fenton and Michelle (Derek) Sears of Barnhart; a brother: Rik (Robbin) Chapman of Georgetown, Texas; and four grandchildren: Morgan Chapman of Barnhart, Dean Clark of Fenton and Preston Chapman and Connor Chapman, both of Roanoke, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Stephanie Michelle Chapman.
A celebration of life was held Dec. 26 at Villa Antonia Winery, officiated by Phillip Chapman. Burial was in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart.
