Michael Dee Miller, 70, of Hillsboro died Aug. 31, 2022, at his home. Mr. Miller, a 1970 graduate of Festus High School, served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 34 years with Bausch and Lomb Surgical. He was a deacon at Hillsboro First Baptist Church and enjoyed watching pro football. He was born Feb. 2, 1952, in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Millie (Fleenor) Miller, whom he married June 5, 1999, in St. Louis; two daughters: Jennifer (Clark) Wilbanks of Foristell and Kimberly (Jonathan) Sims of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three sons: Jason (Heather) Messmore of Pendleton, Ore., Ryan (Alysa) Moneymaker of Festus and Aaron Moneymaker of Collinsville, Ill.; a sister: Janet (Mike) Lednick of Festus; eight grandchildren: Dalton, Devon, Brendan, Daniel, Myla, Miles, Breelle and Tyler; two great-grandchildren: Ayvah and Zelena; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Hillsboro First Baptist Church, 10545 Business 21, in Hillsboro, followed immediately by funeral services. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Hillsboro First Baptist Church or the American Liver Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
