Michael C. White Sr., 71, of House Springs died Dec. 2, 2022, at his home. Mr. White was baptized according to the rites of the Catholic Church on Nov. 9, 1951, and attended St. Cecilia Catholic School and church. He loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer and hunter, but fishing was his passion. He coached Little League baseball and youth basketball. He is remembered as someone who could tell the best jokes, some that even fooled his wife. He was born Nov. 7, 1951, in Cork, Ireland, to the late Eileen O’ Rourke and was adopted at 10 months by the late Charles and Evelyn White. He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Patricia White, whom he married on Aug. 2, 1980; two sons: Michael (Chad) White Jr. and Joshua White; four sisters: Mary White Petty, Anna Foster, Eileen O’Connell and Mary O’Connell; four brothers: John O’Farrell, Frank O’Farrell, Bill O’Farrell and Michael Brendan; three sisters-in-law: Pam (Drew) Crabtree, Pennie Woolsey and Billie Kay (Don) Nyguard; seven nieces and nephews: Terri Auston, Calvin Woolsey, Jason Woolsey, Jay Woolsey, Cody Luckinbill, Kayanna Beaty and Rayanna Bailey; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by two biological brothers: James O’Farrell and Patrick O’Farrell; and special friends Tom Kastner and Mark Rhees.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
