Merle Margaret “Margo” Wallach Albano, 77, of Phoenix died Jan. 22, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Albano graduated from Herculaneum High School in 1959 and Glendale Community College in Arizona, where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She was a bookkeeper for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Phoenix. Born Dec. 13, 1941, in Byrnesville, she was the daughter of Anna and Daniel J. Wallach.

She is survived by a son: Gregory (Fongsiene Chang) Albano of Glendale, Ariz.; two grandchildren: Nic and Jack of Glendale; two sisters: Barbara Joan (Wayne) Pillen of Farmington and Karen (Keith) Simpson of Minnesota; a nephew: Jackie Ganey of Jefferson County; and numerous family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Jim.

A requiem Mass was held at St. Frances Catholic Church in Phoenix. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4696 Notre Dame Drive, House Springs, followed by Mass. Graveside service and burial will be in St. Philomena Cemetery in House Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
