Maxine Swanson, 61, of Festus died March 18, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Swanson was a certified nursing assistant at several nursing homes and most recently at Pony Bird. Born Oct. 21, 1956, in Shawnee, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Tommie Jean (Scherrer) Woodruff Wibble and Franklin Owen Woodruff.
She is survived by her husband: Harold Lee Swanson; a daughter: Sherry Bridges of Florida; five children: Jason, Donald, Dessica, Barbara and Siera; a brother: Charlie Woodruff of Seminole, Okla; a half brother: Royce Wibble of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her dog, Baby.
She was preceded in death by a son: Jason Bridges; and a daughter: Tracy Leonard.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Terry Crank. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
