Maryland F. Allen, 87, of Arnold died Sept. 10, 2022, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mrs. Allen was a factory worker. Born Oct. 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Willie (Foster) and Ray Berry. She was preceded in death by her husband: Virgil Allen.
She is survived by one child: Kim Allen of Arnold; five grandchildren: Dustin (Sheryl) Lemp of Hillsboro, Dana (Brandon Bischoff) Lemp of Pevely, Derek Lemp of Crystal City, Brandon (Lara Lewis) Sterling of St. Louis and Chris (Ashley) Sterling of Little Rock, Ark.; and five siblings: Earlene Bailey of Malden, Cecilia Olinger of Campbell, Sherry George of Malden, Yvonna Johnson of Malden and Larry Berry of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Debbie (Rod survives) Sterling; and two sisters: Ruth Launius and Solan Berry.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Burial is in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
