Mary Virginia Jennings, 89, of Fenton died Jan. 20, 2014. Mrs. Jennings worked for K-Mart at various stores for more than 30 years, and was the company’s first female store manager. After her retirement, she was active in Grace Baptist Church in Catawissa and, later, at the First Baptist Church of Murphy. She was born Oct. 7, 1924, and grew up in Kirkwood. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Norman P. Warmbrodt and Daniel F. Jennings.
She is survived by two children: Norman M. (Sue) Warmbrodt of Cuba, Mo., and Pamela (Chester) Wolkowitz of Cedar Hill; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of stepchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Memorial services are planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at First Baptist Church of Murphy, 203 Old Sugar Creek Road,in Fenton. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
