Mary Lavinia Valle, 89, Fredericktown, formerly of De Soto, died Feb. 17, 2016, at ClaRu DeVille Nursing Center in Fredericktown. Mrs. Valle was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Born May 6, 1926, in Belgrade, she was the daughter of the late Ira Gustus and Bessie Lavinia (Hopkins) Hendrix.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold David Valle, whom she married Aug. 14, 1944.

She is survived by two children: Neva Jane (Tim) O’Brien of Texas and Daryl Duane (Kristina) Valle of St. Louis; a daughter-in-law: Kren (Jerry) Moore; two brothers: Robert (Rayleen) Hendrix and Charley Everett Hendrix; seven grandchildren: Kathy Valle, Michelle (Heath) Knight, Jenise Bridges, Aaron (Tiffany) Bridges, Kyle Valle, Melissa (Timothy) O’Haver and Lea Valle; 13 great-grandchildren: Jennifer Lee, Christy LaFaye, Jasmine June, Ariel Sue, SierRa Nicole, Austin Lee, Gatlin Michael Walker, Gabriel Jacob, Caden Lee, Ian James, Kaitlyn Nicole, Keiran Paul and Izik Harold James; and two great-great-grandchildren: Madison Rose and Gavin Robert; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Feb. 21 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, officiated by Rod Adair. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
