Mary Laverne Ebersoldt, 95, of Festus, died Feb. 7, 2020, at Ste. Genevieve Care Center in Ste. Genevieve. Mrs. Ebersoldt was born March 12, 1924, in Venice, Ill., the daughter of the late Ovil T. and Mary Myrtle (Thomas) Alexander. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Thomas Ebersoldt.
She is survived by a daughter: Meleena Kem (Clyde) Byram of Kaufman, Texas; a son: Gary Ralph (Catherine “Kitty”) Ebersoldt of Festus; three grandchildren: Lori R. (Mitch) Bergsma, Tracy L. (Steven) Anderson and Vincent W. (Margaret “Meg”) Ebersoldt; and four great-grandchildren: Catheryn Elizabeth Anderson, Campbell Stretton Ebersoldt, Stella Rose Anderson and Levi Stretton Ebersoldt.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus, officiated by Chaplain Chuck Hoskins. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
