Mary Ann Steele, 84, of Cedar Hill died Sept. 21, 2016. Mrs. Steele attended activities for many years at House Springs Senior Center and attended First Baptist Church of Arnold for the past six years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and bingo. She shared adventures and vacations with Harold (Rocky) Stone before his death.
Born Dec. 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna Currie. She was married to Norman Steele from 1951-1968. He died in 1998.
She is survived by six children: Rose (Ronald) Karn, Linda (Dennis) Chandler, Norma Roodhouse, Lawrence (Debra) Steele, Patricia (Gerald) Miller and Jeri (James) Schaefer; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by one sister: Elizabeth (Betty) DeSuza.
Visitation is scheduled for 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home. Burial is at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill.
Donations may be made to House Springs Senior Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
