King, Mary

Mary Alice King, 80, of Festus died March 28, 2023, in St. Louis. Mrs. King worked as an assembly worker for Bussmann Fuse before retiring in 1984. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with her friends and family. She was born Aug. 3, 1942, in Vandalia, Ill., the daughter of the late Walter S. and Bessie M. (Barks) Radcliff. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard Lee King.

She is survived by a stepson: John King of Indiana; two stepdaughters: Betty Tocco of St. Louis and Pam (Sam) Weber of Francisco, Ind.; a sister: Hazel Davis of Ramsey, Ill.; a nephew: Brandon (Megan) Radcliff of Affton; a sister-in-law: Beverly Radcliff of Festus; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers: James, Edward, Keith, Buddy, Franklin and Robert Radcliff; and five sisters: Marie Davis, Hilda Law, Eunice Tyra, Kathy Radcliff and Ruby Radcliff.

A funeral service was held April 4 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Ryan Sutton. Burial was in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
