Mary A. (Mesey) Worley, 88, Farmington

Mary A. (Mesey) Worley, 88, of Farmington died Dec. 19, 2021, in Pevely at her daughter’s home. Mrs. Worley was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She loved spending time with her family, and she enjoyed the Christmas holiday and yard sales. Born May 2, 1933, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Owens) Mesey.

She was preceded in death by her husband: William W. Worley, whom she married in February 1950 in Paragould, Ark.

She is survived by three daughters: Darla Jines of De Soto, Denece (Jerry) Bishop of Pevely and Constance “Connie” (Jerry) Quillman of Desloge; six grandchildren: Tasha Gegg, Brett Jines, Tommy Hagan, Brittani Rosa, Kelly Merritt and Yvonne Coates; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons: Stan, William “Wayne” and Leonard Worley; a son-in-law: David Jines; a daughter-in-law: Tammy Worley; and two sisters: Ruth Kennedy and Dora Winchester.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today (Dec. 22) at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6776 Vo-Tech Road, in Bonne Terre. Visitation will resume from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 23) at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
