Vogt, Martin

Martin E. “Marty” Vogt, 66, of Crystal City died Sept. 24, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Vogt was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a master gardener and loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, trapping and calling animals. A talented artist, he enjoyed drawing pictures for people, telling stories and spending time with his family and friends. Born Oct. 18, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Rita (Corley) and Hillyeard Vogt.

He is survived by his significant other: Pam St. Clair of Crystal City; two daughters: Brandi (Tim) Collins of High Ridge and Megan (Austin) Eaves of Hillsboro; a son: Ryan Vogt of Bonne Terre; five siblings: Mary (Dave) Mahue of Festus, Karen Flinn of Florida, Phil (Sue) Vogt of Festus, Ken Vogt of Crystal City and Don Vogt of Crystal City; a granddaughter: Kylie Nezik of Hillsboro; a grandson: Tristan Collins of High Ridge; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother: Alan Vogt.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave, in Festus. A celebration of life will be held from 1- 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at VFW Post 3777 in Crystal City. Arrangements are under direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
