Martha Lou Fallert, 92, of Bloomsdale died Aug. 7, 2020, at Ste. Genevieve Care Center. She was a member of St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale and the Ste. Genevieve Hospital Auxiliary. She was a board member for the Community Counseling Center in Ste. Genevieve, as well as Ste. Genevieve ARC and St. Mary CMA. She also was a volunteer with the Bloomsdale and Kinsey fire departments and helped with numerous blood drives in Bloomsdale. She enjoyed reading, sitting on her front porch, cooking for friends and family, meeting friends at the Kozy restaurant in Bloomsdale and most of all, spending time with her family, especially her great-grandsons.
Born Aug. 2, 1928, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Alice (Heob) and Sylvester A. LaMure Sr.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard F. “Fuzz” Fallert, whom she married in June 1949.
She is survived by a daughter: Brenda (Charles) Ervin of Festus; a grandson: Benjamin (Beth) Ervin of Pevely; a granddaughter: Rachel (Ben) Conoyer of St. Charles; and four great-grandsons: Brennan and Brody Ervin and Sam and Will Conoyer.
She was preceded in death by a son: Richard Fallert Jr.; four brothers: Percy, Jake, LeRoy and Sylvester LaMure; and two sisters: Marie Freeman and Betty Cawvey.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery in Bloomsdale. A funeral Mass will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Ste. Genevieve ARC, 414 Butterfield Place, Ste. Genevieve, 63670. Arrangements are under the direction of Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.
