Mark L. Michael Sr., 73, of Festus died Nov. 19, 2022, at Festus Manor. Mr. Michael was a well digger for Scott’s Drilling and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Born March 5, 1949, in Festus, he was the son of the late Velma “Betty” (Pariset) and Earl Michael.
He is survived by three children: Mark Michael Jr. of Farmington, Wes Michael of De Soto and Heath Michael of Goose Creek; six siblings: David (Bonnie) Michael of Dittmer, Paul Michael of De Soto, Carol Sue (Morris) Vanattia of Murphysboro, Tenn., Connie (Bobby) Summons of Murphysboro, Tenn., Denise Michael of De Soto and Becky (Rich) Charboneau of De Soto; and a nephew: Doyle “Bootsie” Chilton of De Soto.
He was preceded in death by two daughters: Jamie Davis and Heather Michael; and five siblings: Timothy “Scott” Michael, Patty Nicholson, Donna McClanahan, Shirley Chilton and Gary Michael.
Memorial service was held Dec. 4 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto. Burial was in Victoria Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
