Mark J. Eiler, 66, of Imperial died Feb. 6, 2021, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Eiler worked as a carpenter for more than 45 years. He enjoyed woodworking, music, cooking, reading, long conversations over coffee, dogs and St. Louis sports. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness and patience. His wish to be an organ donor will help burn and cancer victims. Born June 15, 1954, he was the son of the late Herman and Elsie (Schmaltz) Eiler.
He is survived by a daughter: Erika Greenlee of Arnold; four siblings: Genevieve Eiler and Sister Kathleen Eiler, CSJ, both of St. Louis, Richard (Beth) Eiler of Imperial and Terry (Sue) Eiler of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Tency Eiler of St. Louis; six nephews: John (Sirli Hill), Tim (Brooke), Matt (Jolyn), Jay, Eric (Carrie) and Kevin (Candice Wassell) Eiler; two nieces: Mandy (Bob) Hosner and Anne Eiler; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
He also was preceded in death by a brother: Ken Eiler.
A celebration of life and memorial Mass will be held later. Memorials may be made to Harris House.
