Marion Joseph (Butch) Dickerson Sr., 75, of Arnold, died Dec. 6, 2017, in Arnold. Mr. Dickerson was retired. He was a 45-year member of Teamsters Union Local 688 and a U.S. Army veteran. Born April 24, 1942, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Marion Wesley and Gladys Marie (Sansoucie) Dickerson. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Norma Jean (Wagner) Dickerson.
He also is survived by five children: Lillian M. (Don Carpenter) Moleski-Carpenter of Arnold, Gloria J. (Mike) Harp of Columbia, Ill., Tonya M. Dickerson of Festus, Anita L. (Paul Jr.) Gielser of Crestwood and Melissa A. Dickerson of Arnold; a brother: Gregory L. (Tammy) Dickerson of De Soto; six grandchildren: Joshua J. (Ann) Hric of Arnold, Nicholas S. Moleski of Columbia, Jennifer (Justin) Santonge of De Soto, Brennon Baxter of Naalehu, Hawaii; Christopher Dickerson of Festus and Jessica Cook of Crestwood; five great-grandchildren: Kennedy Hric of Arnold, Bradyn and Abigayle Santonge of De Soto and Makaylee Graf and Hunter Webb of Crestwood; and two brothers-in-law: Robert (Bonnie) Wager of Lemay and Donald Wagner of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by a son: Marion Joseph Dickerson Jr.; his father-in-law: Anthony (Tony) Wagner; and his mother-in-law: Dora (Gentile) Wagner.
Memorial services will be from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., in St. Louis. Burial will be in Arnold. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
