Marian Vesta Donovan, 86, formerly of Pevely, died Oct. 14, 2021. Mrs. Donovan worked as a dispatcher for the Pevely Police Department for many years. Known as “Aunt Vesta” to many, she loved decorating for Christmas, shopping and traveling, but most of all spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Mercial and Dorothy (Seabaugh) Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Charles Donovan
She is survived by two children: Karen Donovan and Gary (Kathy) Donovan; seven grandchildren: Nathan, Sydney, Molly, Parker, Alex, Ritchie and Damian; and a sister: Lana Stewart.
She was preceded in death by a son: Richard Anthony Donovan; and four siblings: Sonny, Gage, Judy and Donna Stewart.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, in St. Charles. A funeral service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to BackStoppers.
