Margaret A. Forrest, 75, of De Soto died June 29, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Forrest was born July 1, 1943, in Newburg, the daughter of the late Ethel (Stevenson) and Benjamin Plake. She was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Forrest.
She is survived by two daughters: Lisa Lang and Angela Forrest, both of De Soto; seven grandchildren: Kim (Ben), Danielle, Kerri (Jesse), Darren, Dustin (Amber), Brittany (Matt) and Jodi; 15 great-grandchildren: Daeton, Aubreanna, Greyson, Kairi, Kendall, Caiden, Caitlyn, Caileb, Kinsley, Jayden, Donovan, Emma, Lyndsey, Devon and Lily; three brothers: Donald (Martha) Plake of Rolla, Paul (Bonita) Plake of Ava and Jerry Plake of Rolla; and two sisters: Beniva (Charlie) Hargis of Festus and Kay (Gary) Sanders of Rolla.
She was preceded in death by a son: Earl Forrest; and three sisters: Earlene, Elvajean and Sharon.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the funeral home, officiated by Charles McClain. Burial is in the Gamel Cemetery in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
