Harris, Manda

Manda E. Harris, 92, of Festus died April 10, 2021, at Fountainbleu Nursing Home in Festus.  Mrs. Harris was a founding member of Fairview Christian Church in rural Festus and was a longtime volunteer with Mercy Hospice. She loved crossword puzzles, country music and going to church.  Born June 6, 1928, in Coldwater, she was the daughter of the late Callie Dona (Cook) and Robert Glover. She was preceded in death by her husband: Marion “Chub” Harris.

She is survived by two daughters: Donna (Steve) Hoehn of Farmington and Denise Bay of De Soto; a sister: Dora Lawrence of Arnold; four grandchildren: Michelle (Eddie) Pryor, Nathan (Stacy) Hoehn, Rachel Bay and Chelsey Bay; and five great-grandchildren: Maddie Pryor, Stevie Pryor, Cody Hoehn, Taylor Hoehn and Kaylee Hoehn.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Timothy (the late Neva) Glover; two sisters: Ada (the late Dewey) Cage and Rada (the late Francis) Horton; a brother-in-law: Kenneth Lawrence; and a son-in-law: David Bay.

Visitation is at noon and a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus, officiated by Pastor Ronald Starwalt of Farmington Community Christian Church. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.  Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Rescue Mission, 8943 Commercial Blvd., Pevely, 63070. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
