Malinda F. Luebbers, 54, of De Soto died May 5, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Luebbers was a homemaker and with her husband owned and operated Luebbers Trucking and Grading. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. Born Oct. 25, 1959, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Genevieve (Valle) DeClue.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. “Bob” Luebbers; a son: Robert Luebbers II of De Soto; two daughters: Amy Lynn Gordon of St. Louis and Angela Luebbers of St. Louis; six siblings: Kay Kearby of Crystal City, Nancy Teer of Festus, Gary (Kathy) DeClue of Imperial, Larry (Doris) DeClue of De Soto, David DeClue of De Soto and Tom (Mary) DeClue of De Soto; a granddaughter: Kylie Harris; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend: K.C. Cope. She was preceded in death by a brother: Mark DeClue.
Funeral services were held May 9 at St. Rose of Lima Church in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Alexander Anderson. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
