Mable Jean Reed, 79, of Festus died Aug. 18, 2020, at his home. Mrs. Reed was an RN for 43 years at Jefferson Memorial Hospital specializing in obstetrics. She supported many charities including Helping Hands Monkey Helpers for the disabled, spinal cord injury research and Alzheimer’s research. She was born in 1941 in Doniphan, the daughter of the late Meva (Pitts) and Sidney Cooper.
She is survived by three children: Tane Baker of Perryville, Christina Milfelt of Festus and Mark Reed of St Louis; a sister: Marie Cox of Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren: Brent, Stuart, Chris (Stephanie), Ashley, Ryan, Ashlee (Eric) and Shawn; and eight great-grandchildren: Brandon, Hailey, Anthony, Mikey, Alleigh, Vinny, Mckenzie and Scarlett.
She was preceded in death by a son: Michael Reed; and five siblings: Irene, Louise, Glen, Lucile and Cecil.
