
Lyman Joseph “Joe” Creek, 86, of Bonne Terre died Sept. 22, 2021, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. Mr. Creek was a member of Primrose Baptist Church. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed reading, fishing, traveling to Arizona and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Born July 24, 1935, he was the son of the late Allen Jackson and Diana Mary (Smith) Creek. He was preceded in death by his wife: Zella Creek.
He is survived by six children: Donna (Brian) VandeVen of Bonne Terre, Darla (Gary) O’Hara of Bonne Terre, Dana Carver of Bonne Terre, Curt Creek of Phoenix, Ariz., Tony (Anna) Taylor of De Soto, and Todd Joplin of De Soto; seven siblings: William Creek of St. Louis, Gary Creek of St. Louis, David Creek of Arizona, Alvin Creek of Arizona, Marilyn Myers of Arizona, Margaret Ireland of Arizona and Joyce Krugman of St. Louis; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Monday, Sept. 27, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N Main St., in De Soto. Burial is in the Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave., FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
