Louis Lindell Yount Jr., 67, of Barnhart died Jan. 1, 2019, at his home. Mr. Yount worked as a handyman for many local farms in the area. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Arnold. Born July 27, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Rosemarie (Dixon) and Louis Lindell Yount Sr.
He is survived by a daughter: Crystal (Jason) Ayers Adams of De Soto; two sisters: Phyllis L. Yount of Arnold and Nancy Jane (Chris) Engel of St. Louis; a sister-in-law: Nancy Yount of Imperial; six grandchildren: Kyle Ayers, Kaitlyn (Nathan) Dunn, Devyn (Cody) Imfeld, Kelcee Ayers, Raelin Calvert and Adam Yount Clifton Jr.; three great-grandchildren: Blake Ayers, Kole Ayers and Neilan Dunn; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Adam Yount Clifton Sr.; a brother: Jonathon A. Yount; and a sister: Georgia K. Yount.
Funeral services were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
