Lindell Leroy Bise, 89, of Festus died March 23, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Bise was retired from General Motors and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Festus. He enjoyed gardening and leading people to Jesus. Born Dec. 17, 1932, in Newport, Ark., he was the son of the late Herbert and Mabel (Fetzer) Bise. He was preceded in death by his wife: Anna (Mathis) Bise, who died in 2001.
He is survived by two sons: Kendell (Elaine) Bise of St. Louis and Van (Sherry) Bise of Ossian, Ind.; two daughters: Toni Sonsthagen of Festus and Terri (David) Jenkins of Herculaneum; a brother: Johnny (Amanda) White of Arkansas; a sister: Christine Flowers of Center Ridge, Ark.; 17 grandchildren: Jodi, Kayce, Alex, Tyler, Sarah, Stephany, Chase, Anna, Danny, Terry, Cory, Derrick, Derrick, Danielle, Amie, Amanda and Andy; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five siblings: Gerald Bise, Glenna Rudd, Peggy Rudd, Ella Prestige and Linda Kaye Heslin; and two grandchildren: Karen and Christopher.
A funeral service was held March 29 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, officiated by Pastor Pete Ruble and Pastor James Waymire. Burial was in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Living Springs Camp, c/o Second Baptist Church, P O Box 88, Festus, 63028. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
