Linda May, 72, Dittmer

Linda May, 72, of Dittmer died July 27, 2021, in Dittmer. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. She was an avid naturalist and historian. Born May 29, 1949, in Sleepy Eye, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Orvis and Patricia (Sorenson) Howard.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Danny Lee May.

She is survived by five siblings: Jana, Sybil, Mike, Alan and Nathan; three children: Nathan (Crezelda), Phillip (Dana) and Jeff; 10 grandchildren: Alexis, Azaira, Austin, Dustin, Tristen, Kurstin, Tamika, Bjorn, Soren and Sasha; five great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Willow, Ivy, Alexander and Laken; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by two siblings: Phillip and Jerry Lee.

Services were held July 31 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Kirkwood. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
