Lewis E. Drennen, 77, of Ste. Genevieve died Aug. 27, 2014, at his home. Mr. Drennen was a logger and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Born May 11, 1937, in Fletcher, he was the son of the late Austin Henry and Bessie Irene (Rogers) Drennen.
He is survived by five children: David L. Cain of Bloomsdale, Billy (Renae) Drennen of Hillsboro, Loria (Dwayne) Shelton of House Springs, Kimberly (Thomas) Helms of Ste. Genevieve and Pamela (Brett Grill) Drennen of Festus; one daughter-in-law: Tina Domenick Drennen Reynolds of Festus; one sister: Glenda (Oscar) Bell of Villa Ridge; two brothers: Hubert Drennen and Gary (Jerri) Drennen, both of De Soto; 23 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son: Martin Drennen; one sister: Lois Latham; and two brothers: David Drennen and Irvin Drennen.
Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. and memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Jim Greenacre. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
