Leon L. Jonas, 62, of House Springs died Aug. 12, 2019. Mr. Jonas was a skilled handyman and loved the ocean and going fishing. Born July 2, 1957, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Viola (Stumpe) Jonas.
He is survived by four siblings: Paul (Terry Medlin) Jonas of House Springs, Marleen (Frank) Isbell of Arnold, Rita Lowell of Orlando, Fla., and Glenn (Gayla) Jonas of Cedar Hill; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Carl Jonas; and a brother-in-law: David Lowell.
Visitation is at 11 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38148-0412. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
