Leo Franklin Bollinger Jr., 68, of Kirkwood, formerly of Festus, died March 2, 2018, in St. Louis. Mr. Bollinger grew up in Festus, graduated from Jefferson College with a degree in architectural drafting, and was employed as a sales representative in the wholesale flooring business. He was a devoted husband and father, attended Kirkwood United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling, camping, storytelling and especially spending time with family and friends. Born April 23, 1949, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Helen (Turnbeau) and Leo Bollinger.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jennifer (Hale) Bollinger of Kirkwood; two stepsons: Douglas (Kimberly) Wright of Holmes, N.Y. and Jeffrey (Heather) Wright of Fenton; one brother: Rick (Linda) Bollinger of Festus; one sister: Nancy Buenniger of Imperial; and two grandchildren: Tyler Wright and Ryan Wright of Holmes, N.Y.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, at Kirkwood United Methodist Church, 201 W. Adams Ave., in St. Louis, with the Rev. Sue Mitch officiating, followed by a gathering of family and friends at Duffy’s in Kirkwood. Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Rescue Mission Inc., 8949 Commercial Blvd, PO Box 211, Pevely, 63070 or the BJC Organ Donor Program, Barnes Jewish Hospital Foundation, 1001 Highlands Plaza Drive West, Suite 140, St. Louis 63110-1337. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
