Lenard Wright, 82, of Hillsboro died May 28, 2017, at his home. Mr. Wright was retired from General Cable Corp. of St Louis and Westinghouse Corp. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Festus and enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially trout fishing, and traveling the U.S. Born May 4, 1935, in Viola, Ark., he was the son of the late Luther Lee and Margaret Melinda (Campbell) Wright. He was preceded in death by his wife: Nadean (Scheper) Wright; and his former wife: Carlene (Seiz) Wright.
He is survived by three children: Linda Louise Wright of Hillsboro, Stephen Lee Wright of St. Louis and Sandra Lynnett Johnson of Kansas City; six grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant son: Michael Lenn Wright; and a sister: Glenda Rickman.
Visitation is at 9 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Matt Colberson. Burial is in the Burton Cemetery in Quincy, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 11835 County Road CC, Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
