Lawrence LaCourse Sr., 76, of Arnold died July 30, 2020, at his home. Mr. LaCourse was a retired over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing golf, his pets and spending time with his family. Born Sept. 16, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of the late Ruth and Lawrence John LaCourse.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 1/2 years: Donna J. (Harrold) LaCourse.
He is survived by two daughters: Michelle (John Goodhart) Morgan of Arnold and Kimberly Benne of Fenton; four siblings: Paul and Gary LaCourse, both of Massachusetts, and Diane (John) Rauscher and Jeff LaCourse, both of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren: Samuel (Kimberly), Matthew (Heather), Jacob and Joseph Benne and Timothy (Nicole) and Tyler (Cindy) Morgan and John (Kim) Rauscher, Donna Rauscher and Jennifer (Tom) Kelch; 10 great-grandchildren: Luke, Madilyn, Nora, AJ, Peyton, Victoria, Xander, Bennett, Annabell and Lilly Ann; a mother-in-law: Wanda Hill of Collinsville, Ill.; his honorary granddaughter: Katie Boxdorfer, and her daughter, Emma, of St. Louis; two pets: Dixie and Cecil; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by two sons: Lawrence LaCourse Jr. and Jeffrey Benne; a brother: David LaCourse; and a grandson: Alex Christopher Morgan.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Church Road, Arnold, followed immediately by funeral services. Burial will be at a later date at St. Paul’s Churchyard. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
