Lawrence Eugene “Larry” Anderson, 70, of Crystal City died October 10, 2019, at Scenic Nursing and Rehab in Herculaneum. Mr. Anderson was a retired auto assembler at the Chrysler Corp. Fenton plant and a member of Amvets Post 42 in Herculaneum. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed watching old Western movies and line dancing and watching the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys. He was born Oct. 13, 1948, in Herculaneum, the son of the late Omelia (McGuire) and Robert Anderson Sr.

He is survived by his wife: Neda Swiney; a son, Larry (Lacie) Penberthy; a granddaughter: Emmelia; a niece: Darlene Anderson; his friends: Charlie Higgins and Lonnie Boyer; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Anderson Jr. and Gary Anderson; and a sister: Minnie McCoy.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by the Rev. Martinous Walls. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes.
